About the job
Your primary responsibility will be supporting production teams on all quality related issues, quality management system, standards and procedures through introduction of quality tools, techniques and methodologies.
As well as day-to-day quality engineering activities, supporting value engineering and cost reduction initiatives in production, you will be facilitating development, implementation and improvement of quality standards, procedures and processes. You will be leading customer quality issue investigations and relevant actions associated with this, as well as problem solving initiatives utilising various tools such as 8D, SPC, FMEA etc.
You will be leading ECN and NPPD quality activities, ensuring changes / new models are delivered according to plan and correct quality standards. You will be developing and maintaining the use of timing plans, advanced quality planning techniques such as PPAP and FMEA.
The role will be best suited for a quality technician who is looking for a career progression.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with ideally a degree or equivalent relevant experience in manufacturing engineering or quality based engineering discipline.
Essential skills and experience also include:
- Previous experience of manufacturing environment, quality and problem solving activities.
- Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing processes.
- Competent and experienced in the use of core tools such as APQP, FMEA, SPC and PPAP.
- Excellent problem solving and continuous improvement skills.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Collaborative and skilled influencer.
- Resilience and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Process change and improvement experience.
